Heathrow cancels 30% of flights
Snow is falling and freezing fog is predicted so the airport has taken the precaution of reducing flights. It hopes the advanced warning will minimise disruption, but thousands of passengers have been affected. Among them PlanetSKI.
Ski bargains galore
Pierre et Vacances is offering 40% off self-catering holidays to France. There's even availability over half term. You need to be quick though as the offer ends on Tuesday. Inghams also has some good self-driive prices for half-term. One saves you £790.
By train to The Alps
There's much talk of train travel but only 6% of British skiers take the train to The Alps. Flying is faster and cheaper. So why should you go by rail? PlanetSKI reports.
Swiss named top airline
Swiss International Air Lines has been named Best Short Haul Airline by Which?, the product-testing and consumer campaigning organisation.
