Huski teams up with Skiline to offer guests ‘The experience of a catered chalet, at the price of self-catered’.
Beckenham is not the obvious place to head to for a foodie experience.
It lies half in south London and half in north Kent.
Think Privet Drive from the pen of J.K. Rowling and where Harry Potter stayed with his uncle and aunt, Vernon & Petunia Dursley.
Though the residents of Beckenham would probably prefer it to be known as the home of David Bowie.
For those that like gourmet food it is probably not on their lists of places to visit.
But it is where the directors of SkiLine, Angus and Sarah Kinloch live and they had invited PlanetSKI and a few others along to sample some of next winter’s offerings.
Huski has a new concept for a package ski holiday – “Catered by Huski”.
It is being piloted with SkiLine next winter
“Catered By Huski” promises a new price point and offer in the market:
Its motto: The experience of a catered chalet, at the price of self-catered.
The food we sampled was prepared at the Huski kitchens in Bourg St Maurice in the Alps and brought over from France.
It was prepared by the Huski chef, Nick Casey.
Follow this link for more about Huski.
Then it was on to the main course tasters.
Tartiflette, chicken Savoyarde, and vegetable lasagne, – all accompanies by a crispy green salad.
Then we tucked into chocolate tort and cherry almond tart.
Many of the UK tour operators including Inghams, Skiworld, Ski Famille and Zenith, to name just a few, also use the Huski food.
I sampled the product last December in Les Arcs and for full details about the Huski experience follow the link below:
I was there last December as the Huski kitchens in Bourg were being built.
The company grew by 300% last season and further growth is predicted next winter.
We look forward to bringing you further news and menus ahead of the season and exaclty how it will be working with Skiline.
