The 2 people, both German, were killed in separate accidents

The first was a snowboarder in his early 20s who was hit by an avalanche on a closed slope in the Bregenzerwald region. The person he was with was partially buried in the slide but managed to free himself.

Skiers and snwboarders are being urged to obey all the signs and never ski a slope that is closed.

In the other incident a man in his 40's died in the Kleinwalsertal area.
