Gotta love spring skiing celebrations... Dust off your dirndl and lederhosen, and get yourself to the Arlberg pronto.

Skirts will be waving on the slopes of Lech - Zürs am Arlberg tomorrow, Saturday 7th April.

It will be the 3rd International KÄSTLE Dirndl Skiing Day.

"The biggest Dirndl skiing day in the Alps" - now there's a title - "... and the runway at the Lech Schlegelkopf is to be completely covered with girls wearing Dirndl" - and that's a promise.

It's all for the downhill run and this year men, of course in traditional costume, are invited to join in.

Some are going to make the fastest descent and the prettiest line down the ski hill, and the rest are there to check out the show.

"It's the pretty ladies in their beautiful traditional costume dresses that draw all attention when they slide over the slopes and move to folk music sound in their ski boots in the snow," the sponsor and equipment brand, Kästle, says.

The day is also to test out the Kästle equipment.

But back to the fancy-dress fun:

It's a show and party open to all, lederhosen wearers and skiers and boarders atop the mountain or lining the piste.

Legendary After Party

The dirndl-lederhosen dress after party - There are 300 tickets and everyone on the guest list gets an additional goodie.

The party will continue with the Rüfi 900 celebration in the Postgarage Lech:

Good music, even better atmosphere, and all the Dirndl Skiing Day girls and guys at the party.
