Pippa Middleton, the Patron of Disability Snowsport UK, has highlighted the achievement of GB's athletes at the 2018 Winter Paralympic Games.

She was speaking on Thursday evening at a special ceremony in London's Guildhall to mark the achievements of the team.

"This is a marvellous opportunity to refect on the performance of our 2018 Winter paralympians and celebrate their achievements. Our congratulations go to the whole team, well done," said Pippa.

The 2018 Paralympic Winter Games were the most successful in ParalympicsGB's history, with a medal haul of 1 Gold, 4 Silver and 2 Bronze medals.

Great Britain finished 13th in the medal table.

Visually impaired skier Menna Fitzpatrick and her guide Jen Kehoe were the stars of the Games.

The pair won Team GB's only gold medal at the games in Pyeongchang in March, taking the visually-impaired slalom title to add to their two silvers and a bronze.

They became Britain's most decorated Winter Paralympians.

Menna Fitzpatrick carried the flag at the Pyeongchang closing ceremony.

"The work of DSUK changes and enhances people's lives, and I am not simply referring to the disabled community," said Pippa Middleton on Thursday evening.

"Those, like me, who get involved as volunteers get every bit as much enjoyment and satisfaction from participating in the charity's work.  It is truly wonderful, and I am honoured to be Patron of DSUK."

There is a video of Pippa's speech at the end of this article.

Winter Paralympian and medal winner Millie Knight was also present.

Along with representatives from DSUK, sponsors and partners of ParalympicsGB, representatives from sporting organisations and bodies such as UK Sport, Sport England, the Ski Club of Great Britain, the British Paralympic Association and the International Paralympic Committee, Government, MPs and City Corporation elected members.
