Friday September 7, 2018 - Email this article to a friend

Get paid $10,000 to ski for 2 months in 18 resorts in 7 countries on 3 continents. One lucky soul will have the winter of a lifetime.

Travel agency Ski.com and the Epic Pass have teamed up to create an experience of a lifetime under the guise of 'work' to ski and post on this two-month experience.

They're looking for a skier or snowboarder to shred around the world in 18 destinations.

The lucky one who gets this gig has the opportunity to ski in Vail Resorts' Epic Pass destinations such as:

Hakuba in Japan, Les3Vallees and Val d'Isere in France, Telluride, Vail (duh) and A-Basin in Colorado, Park City in Utah, Whistler in Canada - the list goes on (and on...)

It's been called Ski.com's Epic Dream Job and the applications are now being taken.

Get yours in before 15th October for some of this:

A season pass state-side will put you back around $1,000 so this really is the way to discover and explore the best of North America's ski resorts (as well as those our side) and make a pretty penny during.

Your flights will all be covered by United Airlines, you'll be wined and dined for up to five days at each resort and have exclusive mountain access for first tracks during those good powder days you'll surely encounter over two months.

Oh, and GoPro, Helly Hansen, Rossignol and Oakley will kit you out in their latest gear.

The resorts you'll definitely hit are Whistler Blackcomb and Fernie in Canada; Vail, Park City and Breckenridge in the U.S.; Verbier in Switzerland; Courchevel in France; and Hakuba Valley in Japan.

Off-mountain expect to also discover the après ski scene, the nightlife, live music and the lodging experiences.

Have you got the energy? The job starts in January...

What the job entails:

  • daily social media posts
  • assigned photography and video deliverables

What a sore.

We're sure many of you already do this stuff anyway when you travel.

"Sharing photo and video content is a core aspect of today's travel experience, especially in the ski industry," the director of communications for Vail Resorts, Johnna Escobedo Muscente, said.

To apply you need to submit a 60-second video.

To boost your chances, post your application vid on Instagram and tag @skicom and @epicpass using the hashtag #EpicDreamJob.

"We want anyone who's passionate about skiing or snowboarding and traveling the world to apply," Says Ski.com's marketing director Dan Sherman.

"Someone who can create great content, be able to dive into each location, meet new people and embrace the magic of each place is key," he said.

"If they happen to have a good number of Instagram followers and take great photos and video, that's a huge bonus - but overall we just really want anyone who has a wild hair and who loves snow."

The winner (yes it really is a competition to win the best prize rather than a work application) will be announced on 30th October.

So, to summarise - ski the globe with your expenses covered and make for your troubles make a two-month wage to rival a city banker (without the impossible work).

You just have to be a passionate rider.

Make sure to be free January - February 2019.

Fill out the online application before 15th October and put forward your minute-long video detailing why you should be hired.

Good luck!
