Film premieres, Q & As with top snowsports athletes. It's Snow Night at the Kendal Mountain Festival.

Billed as an agenda-setting evening, Snow Night looks like being a big draw at the annual festival in England's Lake District.

It takes place on Saturday 17th November and here's a run-down of what's on the programme.

There's an on-stage conversation with Olympic bronze medallist and freestyle snowboarder Billy Morgan.

He'll be joined by his coach, Hamish McKnight, and the GB Park & Pipe Performance Director, Lesley McKenna.

The Snow Night presenter is Jenny Jones, Britain's other Olympic medal-winning snowboarder.

She will also be in conversation with the legendary skier Eric ‘Hoji' Hjorleifson.

He'll be sharing clips from ‘Hoji', his latest film project with Matchstick Productions.

The former Freeride World Tour snowboard champion Anne-Flore Marxer will be taking part in a Q & A, discussing the stories that inspired her latest project.

A Land Shaped By Women follows the freerider and her friend Aline Bock as they explore gender equality issues across the landscapes of Iceland.

If that's not enough to whet the appetite, then how about the UK premiere of Ode to Muir, the latest release from Jeremy Jones and Teton Gravity Research.

The film will start with an an exclusive personal message recorded for SNOW NIGHT by the big mountain legend himself.

Other guests for the evening include mountain guide and snowboarder - Jonathan "Douds" Charlet, French big mountain skier Viv Bruchez, and long distance ski tourer Tania Noakes.

The Director of Kendal Mountain Festival, Steve Scott, says Snow Night has been revamped.

"This year we're giving it the big show treatment," he says.

"We've tripled the size of the event, and have a stellar line-up that includes film premieres, unplugged conversations and insights from some of the world's top snowsports athletes and activists.

"We're looking forward to sharing some incredible adventures and firing everyone up for the winter season ahead".

The Kendal Mountain Festival is one of the world's largest mountain film festival and takes place between 15th to 18th November.

Snow Night kicks off at 7.30pm on Saturday 17th at the Kendal Leisure Centre.
