The man was swept away in an avalanche last November in the resort of Les Diablerets. He was the first Swiss death of the winter.

The 34 year old man from Bern disappeared at the beginning of last season at an altitude of 2,800m.

We reported on the death at the time on PlanetSKI.

His body was found by a hiker in the canton of Vaud. It’s believed the man was walking with his snowboard when he triggered the avalanche. His body was found at the bottom of the Dar waterfall.
