Thule launch new ski roof box
Sunday February 7, 2016 - Email this article to a friend

The company has unveiled the Thule Flow that it claims is the best ski roof box on the market. NEW

It was launched at this season's ISPO trade show in Munich.

The new roofbox can take 4 pairs of skis or 3 snowboards. Skis can be up to 210cm in length.

Plus of course ski clothes and other items can squeeze in.

Nothing new so far.

And it looks pretty much like any other.

But where it scores for is its ease of fitting and use.

-  It has a fast and secure fitting using one hand only.

-  It can be opened from both sides

-   It has a central locking system and the key can only be removed if all locking points are securely closed

It gives full access to the boot/hatchback due to the advanced position on the car roof

Here at PlanetSKI we already have a Thule box and find them one of the best on the market.

We particularly like that they can be opened from either side.

We managed to fit in 4 pairs of skis and a lot more besides.

Ours is called the Thule Touring Alpine and retails at £370.

Full details on how to use the Thule Touring Alping roofbox see here.

Fitting instructions were simple and easy to follow - we simply watched the Thule videos.

The new box was centre-stage at ISPO and drew favourable reation from the snowsports industry.
