Monday September 26, 2016 - Email this article to a friend

Tamsin Todd leaves the UK's largest tour operator at the end of the month. Chris Logan is to become Managing Director Ski, Lakes & Mountains TUI UK & Ireland. NEW

Tamsin Todd joined almost three years ago and has overseen a digital transformation of the UK's largest tour operator.

We reported on her arrival in 2014 and followed the progress of Crystal at it embraced digital technology in a way perhaps no other tour operator has done.

The company even disposed of the paper ski brochure.

"In the last three years we have achieved what I joined Crystal to do. I'm pleased that Chris Logan will be leading Crystal through this next chapter as it joins the TUI UK & Ireland business unit, and enjoys all the benefits that being part of one of the world's largest travel companies brings. Chris will bring to bear his experiences at TUI including leading the Ireland business, as well as his passion for skiing and the mountains," said Tamsin Todd.

Crystal Ski is owned by TUI and its was part of its Specialist Holiday Group that is to be sold off - we reported on the sale here on PlanetSKI.

Crysal Ski is not part of that sale and will continue to be run by TUI hence it comes under the umbrella of TUI UK & Ireland.

lt is the largest UK ski operator with around 40% of the tour operator market and it offers more than 130 ski resorts in its programme with departures from 21 airports in the UK and Ireland.

"I would like to thank Tamsin Todd for her hard work and dedication over the last three years and would like to take this opportunity to wish her every success in the future. Tamsin has been integral to the smooth transition of Crystal into TUI UK & Ireland. It would have been much more challenging without her great support to both the project team and our Crystal colleagues," said the Commercial Director of TUI UK and Ireland, Andrew Flintham.
