Saturday October 29, 2016 - Email this article to a friend

Top freestylers have been showing what they're made of on the 50ft kicker every day at the London Show, looking to win the Big Air contests. UPDATED

GB's elite skiers and snowboarders and up-and-coming youngsters have been wowing the crowds in Battersea Park.

On Friday, a trip to the European freestyle capital, Laax in Switzerland, was up for grabs, and on Saturday it was the London Ride Freestyle competition.

First up on Friday night was The 2016 Brits Inner City Big Air which gave one snowboarder and one skier the chance to win a week's holiday in Laax.

The resort hosts the main Brits contest, which is held in April.

PlanetSKI was there this year and will be back in 2017.

The competition on Mount Battersea was all about style - one jump to impress the judges and get through to the final 4.

Then it was a jump-off between the top 2 skiers and top 2 snowboarders.

Madi Rowlands, GB's Youth Olympic half-pipe champion and bronze medallist in the ski slopestyle was there.

But the 16-year-old was beaten by her older brother, Mike, who's 18.

The first one was held in 2003 at  the Ski Show Olympia.
