Monday November 21, 2016 - Email this article to a friend

Added to the already impressive lineup of the Altitude Christmas comedy festival are Eddie The Eagle, Lou Sanders, Nick Cody and Jimeoin. NEW

Further acts have been announced for the Alpine Altitude Comedy Festival and they will be joining the party in Mayrhofen 11th-17th December.

To get an update on what the festival is actually about, see PlanetSKI's intro to this winter's edition.

In short, it's basically a comedy event hosted in the Tirolean town of Mayrhofen with top-notch entertainers, combining a holiday's most important elements: laughs and skiing.

So, new to the impressive line-up (featuring Terry Alderton, Zoe Lyons, Andrew Maxwell, Andy Askins, Daniel Sloss and many more) is:

Eddie the Eagle - Making his Altitude debut and delivering a live-on-stage autobiography with never-before-told tales, anecdotes and a succession of his soaring highs and bumpy landings.

Comedy fans will know Lou Sanders. She's received the highest accolades for her hilarious surrealist stand up and will be making her way to the mountains.

Aussie comedian Nick Cody will grace the stage. He's 29 years old and sold out numerous solo tours at the Edinburgh, Melbourne and Sydney Comedy Festivals.

Jimeoin - the Irishman from Australia and frequent star of TV's 'Live at the Apollo', 'Royal Variety Performance' and 'Sunday Night at the Palladium' - will do his stand up in the mountains of Mayrhofen.

British DJ Crissy Criss is bringing the Drum&Bass to the Tirol. He's part of BBC Radio networks BBC Radio 1 & BBC Radio 1Xtra.

As well as the long list of comedians, musicians and clowns hitting the slopes and rocking the jokes this year, there'll also be a big dose of Tirolean festive surprises and Austrian charm.

And James Rampton will be there again this year for PlanetSKI so check back in to see what he says.
