On skis, of course. This is PlanetSKI after all... And with Eddie the Eagle as your teacher at the Calgary Olympic Park, there's no better way. NEW

Ski jumping.

Is this a sport that you watch and wonder, 'just how do you get into it?'

How do you discover if you would be good at flying at dizzying heights and speed through the air?

Well here's probably the best-ever way to give it a go:

Taught by ski jumping legend 'Eddie the Eagle' at the Calgary Olympic Park in Canada.

Hopefully we've all seen the film.

Now it's time to try out the sport.

What's up for grabs is a week's skiing with Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards at Canada's Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, followed by a lesson on how to fly at the Calgary Olympic Park.

This is, of course, the scene of Eddie's 1988 Winter Olympic ski jumping debut.

And where he took his name 'The Eagle' during the 1988 Games.

  • Snowmobile evening with Eddie
"I went to Kicking Horse last winter for the first time and absolutely loved it," said legend Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards.

"I'm looking forward to going back - now I've also got the chance to introduce some more people to ski jumping too.

"It will be a fun packed week full of some great skiing and good laughs."

Trip details:

  • Costs £3,295pp
  • Includes return flights from London to Calgary, transfers, 7 nights accommodation in luxury lodge, breakfast, VIP entrance to Canadian dinner, ski pass

When in Canada...

"I had the chance to ski with Eddie in Kicking Horse last winter and we had a great time both on and off-piste, we had some fantastic skiing and he was fun to have around," owner of Kicking Horse Powder Tours, Richard Barker, said.

"We thought it would be a great idea to offer a holiday here where people could combine a week's skiing with a day at the Calgary ski jump before flying home again."
PlanetSKI's Katie Bamber caught up with Eddie at an event supporting the introduction of school children into snowsports:
