There are some amazing colours in ski resorts in USA & Canada as the leaves turn & snow falls. PlanetSKI is in Sun Valley, USA. UPDATED

It's that time of year.

The leaves are turning an amazing array of colours and the first snow comes down.

PlanetSKI is seeing the magic of autumn in the USA as the season turns.

Sun Valley resort in Idaho is holding on to a picturesque dusting of snow.

"I was here in the resort last winter and then again during the summer and I can say that it is just as beautiful in the autumn," said PlanetSKI's senior reporter, Katie Bamber.

"A few weeks back there was a decent snowfall, but Autumn decided to return for another go. And some display it was," Katie added.

It connects the ski resorts of Jasper/Marmot Basin and Banff/Lake Louise and is a road we have driven several times in the winter.

It is perhaps the most spectacular of winter roads.

But back to autumn.

And this is what it looks like in Jasper at the moment.
