SWISS MAN CHARGED OVER SHOOTING WOLF

The authorities have brought charges against a person who allegedly shot a wolf dead last year. NEW



The person is also accused of breaking hunting and weapons laws.  

The body of a female wolf was discovered in March last year.  

She has been shot in the heart by a rifle.

Wolves can be legally killed but only if the authorities issue a special permit. 

This is usually done only if a wolf kills 25 sheep or other farm animals in the space of a month.
